  • InvestmentNews ranked Adviser Investments among the top 10 employers on its list of “Best Places to Work for Financial Advisers” in 2018, our second year receiving this recognition. The award “honors … firms that empower employees to provide clients with the best possible investment and financial planning advice.” InvestmentNews’Best Places to Work for Financial Advisers Award is based on responses to surveys voluntarily completed by the owners and employees of participating firms. Firms do not pay a fee to participate. Research firm Best Companies Group (BCG) conducts the survey. InvestmentNews evaluates participating firms’ ability to attract and retain talented employees and then ranks the firms.   • Also in 2018, Pensions & Investments recognized Adviser Investments among the “Best Places to Work in Money Management” for the third year in a row. Pensions & Investments’ Best Places to Work in Money Management award is conducted by BCG. Participating firms and their employees complete surveys assessing corporate culture and communications, role satisfaction, work environment, relationships with supervisors, training, development and resources, pay and benefits and overall engagement. Participating firms must have an office in the United States, at least 20 employees and $100 million in regulatory assets under management, and have been in business for at least one year.   • The Financial Times included Adviser Investments on its FT 300” list for 2018, which recognizes the nation’s top independent registered investment advisers. The Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers is an independent listing produced annually by the Financial Times. The FT 300 is based on data gathered from investment advisory firms, regulatory disclosures and the Financial Times’ research. The Financial Timesinvited over 2,000 firms to be considered for its list in 2018; 760 responded. The listing reflects each practice’s performance in six primary areas: Assets under management, asset growth, compliance record, years in existence, credentials and online accessibility. Neither the participating firms nor their employees pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 300. Adviser Investments was also included on the FT 300 list in 2014, 2015 and 2016.


  • 2018 marked the company’s third consecutive year achieving this honor. This competition identifies and honors organizations that display a commitment to excellence in their human resource practices and employee enrichment. Also in 2018, the National Association of Business Resources recognized Adviser Investments for the third consecutive year among The Best and Brightest Companies to Work For®. The award identifies organizations displaying a commitment to human resource practices and employee enrichment; and the competition assesses organizations based on categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.


  • Barron’s ranked the firm among the top 30 on its 2018 list of Top 100 Independent Wealth Advisors,” placing Adviser Investments among the country’s elite independent wealth managers for the sixth consecutive year. Barron’s also recognized Adviser Investments among the top 10 firms in 2018 on its list of “Top Massachusetts Financial Advisors,” the firm’s fifth appearance in a row. Barron’sTop 100 Independent Wealth Advisors rankings reflect the volume of assets overseen by participating advisers and their teams, revenues generated for the firms and the quality of the advisers’ practices, as determined by its editors. Barron’s Top Massachusetts Financial Advisors rankings consider factors such as assets under management, revenue produced for the firm, regulatory record, quality of practice and philanthropic work.


  • In 2019, 13 of our wealth managers received the Five Star Wealth Manager Award from Boston magazine. The Five Star Wealth Manager Award, administered by Crescendo Business Services, LLC (dba Five Star Professional) selects award recipients based on following 10 objective eligibility and evaluation criteria: (1) credentialed as a registered investment advisory representative or registered investment advisor; (2) actively employed as a credentialed professional in the financial services industry for a minimum of five years; (3) favorable regulatory and complaint history review; (4) fulfillment of their firm review based on internal firm standards, (5) currently accepting new clients; (6) and (7) client retention rates for one-year and five-year periods; (8) client assets administered; (9) number of client households served; and (10) education and professional designations. Five Star Professional determines the final list of Five Star Wealth Manager Award winners.
    • 3,619 candidates in the Boston area were considered for the 2019 Award. 566 of these candidates (16%) were named 2018 Five Star Wealth Managers.
      • In 2018, 2819 candidates were considered of which there were 532 (19%) award recipients.
      • In 2017, 2467 candidates were considered of which there were 623 (25%) award recipients.
      • In 2016, 2530 candidates were considered of which there were 632 (26%) award recipients.
      • In 2015, 3542 candidates were considered of which there were 801 (23%) award recipients.
      • In 2014, 1707 candidates were considered of which there were 655 (38%) award recipients.
      • In 2013, 2362 candidates were considered of which there were 713 (30%) award recipients.
      • In 2012, 2591 candidates were considered of which there were 454 (17%) award recipients.
    • Wealth managers and/or their firms do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of Five Star Wealth Managers.
    • The award does not evaluate the quality of services provided to clients and it is possible that the recipient may have received unfavorable ratings from those surveyed.
    • The Five Star Wealth Manager award is not indicative of the wealth manager’s future performance or investment success.
    • The inclusion of a wealth manager on the list should not be construed as an endorsement of the wealth manager by Five Star Professional or any clients of the wealth manager.
    • Five Star Professional defines a “favorable regulatory complaint history” as a wealth manager who has not been subject to a regulatory action resulting in a license being suspended, revoked or payment of a fine; has not had more than a total of three settled or pending complaints filed against them and/or a total of five settled, pending, dismissed or denied complaints with any regulatory authority or Five Star Professional’s consumer complaint process; has not individually contributed to a financial settlement of a customer complaint; and has not been terminated from a wealth management or financial services firm, or filed for personal bankruptcy within the past eleven years, or been convicted of a felony.
