We are thrilled to announce that Adviser is among the finalists for ThinkAdvisor’s LUMINARIES awards in the “Thought Leadership & Education” category for 2022. Our firm was chosen from a field of hundreds of registered investment advisers, brokerage firms and wealth managers and named to ThinkAdvisor’s list of 40 finalists.
The LUMINARIES awards, in their second year, are intended to identify “the best-of-the-best across the advisory business” among applicants in four categories: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Thought Leadership & Education; Executive Leadership; and Community Impact.
In the Thought Leadership & Education group, ThinkAdvisor’s editors screened award applicants for those “making outstanding efforts to better understand and train new and existing industry participants…through their programs, products and services.” They culled their list of finalists based on participating firms’ ability to produce “valuable research, new approaches and educational outreach that encompass social media, online apps, videos, podcasts, white papers, etc.” and firms’ efforts to “seek to improve financial security or have other broad impacts.”
Other Thought Leadership & Education finalists include The American College of Financial Services, Bank of America, BlackRock, Ed Slott and Company, Edelman Financial Engines, Morgan Stanley, Raymond James and Schwab Advisor Services, among others.
“This honor is a tribute to the depth of knowledge our team of wealth management, financial planning and investment professionals offers to our clients and the public on a regular basis,” said Adviser Investments’ CEO, Mario Ramos. “We believe that one of the best ways to empower our clients is by giving them the resources and support they need to make informed decisions about their financial futures.”
LUMINARIES finalists will be profiled online by ThinkAdvisor and in print in a special section of Investment Advisor magazine in September 2022. There will also be a second round of judging to select “standouts” in each category—those winners will be announced in November.
Responding to the announcement, Director of Content Jacqueline Murphy remarked, “Communication excellence, thought leadership and client education have been hallmarks of our business and part of what makes our firm stand apart. More than anything, our team’s efforts have always been guided by the needs of Adviser Investments’ clients. We’re gratified to be recognized by ThinkAdvisor.”
ThinkAdvisor’s LUMINARIES recognition program is judged by an editorial team chosen by ThinkAdvisor. Individuals, teams or organizations may be nominated and up to four entries per company may be submitted. Adviser Investments did not pay a fee in connection with this entry but was required to submit a description of the firm’s strategic initiatives as they relate to providing thought leadership and education to the organization, clients and broader financial community. ThinkAdvisor only disclosed that hundreds of entries were submitted within the Thought Leadership & Education category and 40 were chosen as finalists. This recognition is not indicative of client experience or future investment performance.
