Adviser Investments announced today that it has received the Best Wellness Employer Bronze Certification from Wellness Workdays.
The Best Wellness Employer certification, awarded in collaboration with experts from Harvard Medical School and Wellness Workdays, recognizes the outstanding achievements of businesses that have created “best-in-class” wellness programs to engage employees in promoting well-being in the workplace.
Adviser Investments’ wellness activities and resources for employees include use of a modern fitness center; CPR training; the step club’s stein-hoisting, plank and wall-sit competitions; and a “Biggest Loser” contest. Our office is also located on an easily accessible 0.8-mile walking loop that many employees enjoy circling when the weather is pleasant.
We are also proud to offer our employees a 50% discount to a Boston Sports Club fitness center in our office park, excellent medical insurance, in-office flu shots, a nursing/wellness room, ample maternity and paternity leave, standing computer workstations and a prepared-foods vending machine in our office with healthy and vegan options.
Our internal wellness initiative, the Building Health and Wealth program, hasn’t missed a beat even as we’ve been working remotely since March 2020. Employees have hosted “Zoomba” dance classes and other exercise routines for all interested colleagues to participate in together via Zoom. One recent example: During October’s “Fall Back Into Fitness Challenge,” employees were given fun, attainable physical challenges weekly, culminating in a gift card drawing for everyone who completed the four-week course.
These measures and numerous others are indicative of our long-standing effort to create and enhance a corporate culture that promotes every facet of employee health and wellness.
Disclaimer: Adviser Investments received the Best Wellness Employer Bronze Certification. Sponsored by Wellness Workdays, participating organizations complete a survey covering how the organization assesses its employee wellness initiatives and programs, and how the organization strategizes, implements and evaluates such initiatives and programs. Surveys are reviewed and scored, then participants are ranked in the Best Wellness Employer Score Index and may receive either Gold, Silver or Bronze Certification or an Honorable Mention. Organizations pay a $129 participation fee. The award sponsor has not disclosed how many firms were surveyed or considered for this recognition, nor the percentage of total participants that ultimately received recognition.
