Adviser Cares: Cradles to Crayons

Adviser Investments’ volunteer committee organized our most recent outreach at the Cradles to Crayons Boston warehouse facility. The Giving Factory^® serves as the organization’s primary hub for its annual outreach to 140,000 Massachusetts children. On December 11, 2018, Adviser Investments employees spent the day working alongside volunteers from other local companies to contribute to Cradles to Crayons’ ambitious and worthy effort.

Our work focused primarily on inspecting, sorting and providing quality control to mountains of generously donated clothing and accessories. Volunteers will then coordinate multiple sets of full outfits for each and every child—with all items gifted free of charge.

Cradles to Crayons assists children currently living in homeless or low-income situations in Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia by providing them with the essential items for home, school and play. A combination of grassroots efforts and corporate outreach fund the organization’s donations.

This was Adviser Investments’ second opportunity to contribute to Cradles to Crayons’ ambitious community-based outreach. We look forward to the next chance to support their powerful assertion that “countless small acts of kindness that, together, make a big difference.”
