Patrick Garvey is an expert at growing and scaling wealth management businesses through advisor and client enablement. Before joining Adviser, he was head of retail optimization at Edelman Financial Engines. Prior to that, he spent eight years at TIAA as chief operating officer of the Individual Advisory Services unit, supporting a retail business with 1,800 employees and 850 advisors. During his tenure at TIAA, he implemented practice management efforts that supported aggressive asset and advisor growth targets, including an industry-recognized client connection solution. He also spent time at Bank of America (BofA), focusing on alternative investments before leading efforts in the BofA/Merrill Lynch merger and eventually landing in the wealth management banking organization. Patrick received his B.A. from Amherst College.
