Chris has spent 25 years helping organizations adapt for the future and identify and seize opportunities for growth. He is a dedicated leader who thrives on solving complex problems and is passionate about advancing the client experience. Prior to joining Adviser Investments as General Counsel in 2020, and subsequently being named interim CEO in 2021, Chris was General Counsel at True North Venture Partners, a venture capital fund specializing in environmental sustainability issues. Before that, he was a partner in two international law firms, focusing on complex corporate transactions and restructurings in industries including energy, telecom, hotel management, health care, retail, software, internet security and biotechnology. Chris’ passion for positive change was recognized, in 2017, with the David Abraham Grossman Fund for Social Justice Award, a fund at Harvard Law School created to enable lawyers to work with community organizations to encourage social change. Chris received a B.A in economics and history (summa cum laude) from Amherst College, and a J.D. (magna cum laude) from Harvard Law School. He is the co-author of Strategies for Creditors in Bankruptcy Proceedings (now in its seventh edition) and has published several peer reviewed articles. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Celiac Association and of Greater Boston Legal Services. Chris spends his free time hiking and backpacking, particularly in Baxter State Park in Maine, and working on perfecting a gluten-free beer. He lives in Wellesley, MA with his wife and two children.
