PepsiCo Buys SodaStream; Tyson Acquires Keystone

Major U.S. stock indexes advanced, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500 and NASDAQ Composite up nearly 0.4%, 0.3% and 0.1%, respectively. PepsiCo’s stock fell slightly, down 0.1% after announcing its $3.2 billion acquisition of SodaStream (ticker: SODA). Meanwhile, SODA spiked nearly 10% on the news. We also saw Tyson Foods gain 1.6% after the company detailed its $2.2 billion cash purchase of Keystone Foods.
