The Dow’s decline came as 3M suffered one of its worst days in 30 years, with its stock falling 13% on news of job cuts and slower sales in China. Amazon also reported after the market’s close, posting record profits in the first quarter as it prepares to roll out one-day shipping for Prime customers.
