Five Star Wealth Manager (2012, 2013)
Early in my career, I worked for Fidelity Investments and was there on October 19, 1987 when the stock market fell over 22% in one day. Nearly everyone was traumatized. But I heard this comment from former Fidelity Magellan Fund manager Peter Lynch:
“The real key to making money in stocks is not to get scared out of them.”
And I realized he was right. Keeping a level temperament is so important to investment success.
