Vanguard Group and Fidelity Investments were named "stars" in Cogent Research's ranking of mutual fund companies.
In a survey called "Investor Brandscape," Cogent, a Cambridge, Mass. marketing firm, examined four components to measure the strengths of the firms and see who is poised for future growth.
