![]() | Daniel P. Wiener, Chief Executive Officer Dan Wiener is one of the nation's foremost experts on Vanguard mutual funds. He is editor of the 5-time award-winning newsletter, the Independent Adviser for Vanguard Investors, and author of the definitive text on investing with Vanguard, the annual Independent Guide to the Vanguard Funds as well as the annual Independent Guide to Vanguard ETFs. Dan co-founded Adviser Investments in 1994 in response to numerous requests for his personal supervision over client accounts. His insights and analysis appear regularly in such publications as the Wall Street Journal and Barron's and on CNBC, PBS and Bloomberg television. Previously, Dan wrote about personal finance for U.S. News & World Report and Fortune magazine. He earned a B.S. from Tufts University. An avid cyclist, he and his wife live in Brooklyn, NY. |

Lowell III, Partner, Chief Investment Strategist James Lowell is a nationally recognized authority on investing, and is partner and chief investment strategist of Adviser Investments. Jim is an investment columnist for Forbes Magazine, the editor and owner of the multiple award-winning, Fidelity Investor, www.fidelityinvestor.com, and of The ETF Trader on Marketwatch.com. Jim is the president of the Fund Family Shareholder Association, and the founder and chairman of The Rankings Service (www.trsreports.com). Jim has written several books on investing, most recently Investing from Scratch (Penguin, 2007) and What Every Fidelity Investor Needs to Know (Wiley, 2007). Jim was educated at Vassar College, where he earned a B.A. in philosophy, and holds master's degrees in theological studies from Harvard Divinity School, and in Anglo Irish literature from Trinity College (Dublin, Ireland). He is an accomplished sport fisherman. Jim lives in Needham, MA. |

He has bottom-line responsibility for the overall business, including marketing, sales, finance, and new product development. He also chairs the Portfolio Review Committee. In 2004 he was selected one of the Boston Business Journal's top "40 Under 40" business leaders. He serves as a director on several boards, including the Eastern Massachusetts Better Business Bureau. Dan has been profiled in Investment News magazine and appears regularly as an on-air commentator for New England Cable News. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and served as a Big Brother for 10 years. Dan earned a bachelors degree in history from Tufts University, and an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. He resides with his wife and two children in Newton, MA. |

![]() | Lewis C. Frost, Portfolio Executive Lewis Frost has served as a portfolio executive with Adviser Investments since 1999. Prior to this, Lewis worked for Scudder Investments, in San Diego, CA, and in Boston, MA, in its high net worth department. He also worked for Fidelity Investments as a sales specialist in its Salt Lake City, UT, office. Lewis has also worked for the U.S. Department of the Navy on Coronado Island in San Diego, CA, as a personal financial counselor, where he was recognized by the Secretary of the Defense for assisting its personnel in managing their finances. A California native, Lewis Frost graduated from the University of Utah in 1990. Lewis currently lives in Newton Upper Falls, MA, with his wife and their very large dog. |
![]() | Suzanne M. Irwin, Portfolio Executive Suzanne Irwin has been with Adviser Investments since 1995. She has worked as a portfolio administrator, a securities analyst, and as Adviser Investments' operations manager prior to becoming a portfolio executive in 2001. Sue is a member of the Portfolio Review Committee. She holds a B.A. in economics from Stonehill College in Easton, MA, and an MBA from Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. Sue lives in Charlestown, MA, and is an avid golfer and travel enthusiast. |
![]() | Mark Nichols, Portfolio Executive Mark Nichols joined Adviser Investments as an account executive in 2002, and was promoted to the role of portfolio executive in July 2006. He works closely with the firm's senior investment strategists to ensure his clients' portfolios are allocated appropriately for their needs and expectations. Mark began his career at Putnam Investments where he acted as a liaison between Putnam Investments and Edward Jones, one of the largest broker/dealers in the country. Mark graduated from Colby College in Waterville, ME, with a bachelor degree in psychology and a minor in classics, and earned an M.A. in communications from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. An avid football fan, Mark also enjoys reading in his free time. |
![]() | Jonathan R. St. Clair, Senior Portfolio Executive Jonathan St. Clair has been with Adviser Investments since 1996, and is a member of the company's Portfolio Review Committee. He also oversees the firm's Alliance Program for independent investment professionals. Jonathan began his financial career at American Express/IDS Financial Advisors. In 1991 he was an account executive at Dean Witter Reynolds in Boston. The following year he earned the firm's highest award, the National Sales Director's Award. Jonathan graduated from Boston College with an A.B. in economics and earned his MBA from McGill University in Quebec, Canada. He lives with his wife and three children in Chestnut Hill, MA. Jonathan is active within his community, and is a member of the Walnut Park-Jackson School Strategic Plan Committee. |
![]() | Adam Strauss, Portfolio Executive Adam Strauss joined Adviser Investments in 2000 as a portfolio executive. Adam started in the investment business in 1985 as a performance measurement specialist for Bond Timing Services, where he provided analytical support for the firm's portfolio managers. In 1990 Adam was president of Telecost Management, a telecommunications consulting company that specialized in analyzing telecommunication systems for companies in the non-profit sector. In 1995 he joined George Kinder Financial Services as a financial adviser, offering advice to private clients on investment, estate, and retirement concerns. He sits on Adviser's Portfolio Review Committee and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Adam graduated from the University of Massachusetts with degrees in art and economics, and earned his master's degree in education from Tufts University. He was awarded his CFP in 1999. Adam lives in Lexington, MA, with his wife and children. |

He began his career in finance with American Express Financial Advisors in Charlestown, MA, where he provided individual clients with comprehensive financial planning solutions. Rick graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, with a B.S. in business administration, concentrating in marketing and finance. He is a member of the MA Financial Planning Association and was awarded his CFP license in June 2005. Rick lives in Brookline, MA, with his wife, and enjoys running and golfing. |
